很Earthy，就是Saint-Estephe - Chateau Meyney 2002, Saint-Estephe

很久前已經試過這個Saint-Estephe的中級莊 - Chateau Meyney，當時的感覺是不比五級莊差。今天試02的，感覺也差不多。

酒仍紫，帶紅，仍有aging空間。香氣是重心所在，black currant, black cherry (重心)，甘草，chocolate，vanilla，還有spice等。香氣絕不輸很多列級莊。

味道，和香氣不同的是Earthy，很高，雖然不致蓋過果味，但對本人仍是較高。酸度適中，tannin略粗，果然是Saint-Estephe！Finish中等，帶苦，果味濃，屬適飲期，也帶spice，帶甘草finish。

所以常常說，中級莊也不可少看，可以比列級莊更好。

順帶一提，本人認為International Wine Cellar對本酒的酒評很好很中肯：

(the blend is based on 70% cabernet sauvignon) Bright ruby-red. Aromas of black cherry, plum, cassis, licorice, dark chocolate and smoked meat. Sweet, supple and spicy but slightly coarse, with black cherry and licorice flavors and a light green element. Finishes with firm, dusty tannins.
